We finally complained at this point because we really needed our towels changed. We thought we were doing something wrong and left super early after the second night and stayed away for hours. Despite this, our room was never refreshed. We were provided with the usual door hanger asking for a refresh, tip envelope, and "leave your towels on the floor" sign. Wifi went out on the second day and the tv in the main room stopped working. Our room was not very clean (dust bunnies everywhere and some ancient dog jerky lurking under the couch - see picture). At check in, we were informed of the pool's hours but it was unavailable and closed for the duration of our trip (3 nights). We stayed in the largest suite with two children. The only downside is now that we've stayed there, we won't enjoy other hotels as much.…īe aware that the hotel is very short staffed, and not providing standard hotel services at this time (without notice). The only way you shouldn't stay here is if you like the hum-drum, same ole' same ole' of EVERY OTHER hotel you've ever experienced. It's so unique and comfortable, like if an Air B&B was provided as a whole hotel. Basically, you need to experience how wonderful this place is to get it. The hotel is also so conveniently located next to the Carousel Mall and steps from the beach. The amenities offered were awesome! You could checkout a fat tire bike to ride on the beach, enjoy a little bonfire in the fireplace outside of your room, or go for a swim. The shower WAS AMAZING! Same with the bed! We have decided to steal both of those designs for our home. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash weren't the typical Barbie sized bottles of cheap crap you normally get at a hotel. The little details like glasses and robes were like icing on the cake. better than a real fireplace, but the the same ambiance and warmth because of the metal structure. We were provided with a large can containing gel that just had to be lit once it was tucked into the logs. We appreciated that we could enjoy a wood stove without all of the stacking in logs, getting smoked out, or trying to light it. I love the different textures and mediums used. the European Breakfast was Ahhhh - mazing! The rooms are so cozy & minimalist. The staff had set-up the room prior to check in, & included all of my special requests & purchased packages to suprise my husband. These rooms looked like a boutique hotel that would fit us better. not at all like your general Motel 6 or even Hilton for that matter. It appeared to be very modern and a style that we would like. I reserved the room for my husband's birthday because of how cute the decor was. But overall, this place is lovely! Even the shower head was decent. Our TV didn't work well, so a smart TV we could broadcast to or sign into apps would have been more ideal. And our own microwave would have been nice. Pool had a few windows in there that could use some cleaning-one into the kitchen with the fan was in desperate need of cleaning. My dog has huge separation anxiety, so would have been nice to keep him near the pool so I could use it more. Nice firepit too! Close to the beach and main shops in Seaside. Can text with issues and food/drink requests. Check in and check out was simple and easy. The pool is amazing and having a sauna was a great plus, especially if the weather is cool and wet. Rooms are simple, basic, but have everything you need. A renovated motel/motor inn that flipped to a minimalist industrial look.
